I decided to
teach myself how to play piano at the tender age of 36 when my
singer-songwriter wife became pregnant. I
practiced 5 minutes every day, and now, I can play well enough to amuse
my 10 month
old daughter. I don’t know how to read music, so I just make
it up
as I go along, or as my wife calls it, ‘composing.’
I set up a gopro to record the pieces, since I sometimes
don’t remember them afterwards, like dreams. I never intended
for them to see
the light of day, so I used the camera’s microphone
